Another nice "capture" of our camera traps! This male puma found a big interest in one of our camera traps a couple of days ago! The last couple of weeks have been very "puma-productive" at El Remanso Lodge, on the Osa Peninsula of Costa Rica!
The camera traps at El Remanso Lodge form part of a local wildcat study since 2006 here on the Osa Peninsula. They capture valuable information to monitor the activity of the wildcat population on the Osa Peninsula. Luckily for these beautiful creatures the National Park of Corcovado as well as its biological corridors (El Remanso Lodge is situated in one of these corridors : the Osa Peninsula National Wildlife Refuge") offer a large area for their habitat.
